Self Portrait in Charcoal

I’ve rediscovered the joy of charcoal drawing recently. Yes, this is indeed me. I really wanted to use dramatic lighting and getting me in a dramatic mood isn’t so difficult. But I love the rawness charcoal strokes can deliver to a piece versus the control that I am accustomed to with pencils. I’ll definitely be using more charcoal with future pieces.

And I am less creepy looking in person. I think.
