Here are some of my more recent comic book character sketches, most based on new art released for DC’s relaunch this fall. I enjoy reinterpreting the new costume designs. The Green Lantern Corps sketch was done to celebrate the upcoming movie, which I am eagerly anticipating.

Officially renamed “Sexy Snapshots”, these poses will focus mainly on the girls of Twitter who visibly take pictures of themselves with their mobile devices. Here is today’s (5/4/11) set.

While on the surface this may look like trivial enjoyment of sensual images, notice the amount of foreshortening, or hair rendering, fabric, hand and face detail, this series has truly helped me a lot with some of the more challenging aspects of figure drawing.

Officially renamed “Sexy Snapshots”, this is still part of my series of sketch studies based on the lovely ladies of Twitter. Sexy Snapshots will specifically be the girls of Twitter taking pictures of themselves using their iPhones or other mobile devices. Here is yesterday’s (5/3/11) set.

Here’s a special entry for my Girls of Twitter sketch series, featuring Mocha Uson, a wildly popular bombshell from the Philippines. Totally digging her energy and she makes these sketches fun.

Continuing my series of sketch studies based on the lovely ladies of Twitter, here are todays parctices.

I was inspired by not only the beauty of these ladies but also the candor and openness of these images, which Twitter is an endless source of. It really is great practice and has proven quite helpful when designing my own character poses.
